The GoPilotTM is a programmable timer device for dispensing off-the-shelf pMDI aerosol medications into a ventilator circuit for patients on mechanical ventilation. It automates a very common, manual procedure for administering aerosol drug therapy. Analogous to an IV infusion pump, except it regulates aerosol flow rate to the airway rather than fluids to the bloodstream.
