BEIJING, October 12 (TMTPOST) – Just over a month before the opening of the World Cup 2022, sports goods exports from Yiwu in eastern China's Zhejiang province are surging.

According to sports goods traders in Yiwu, Shaoxing, and other places in the province, the orders placed before the World Cup are almost shipped. The order volume of sports-related products increased significantly than in previous years.

Yiwu Qiqi Cultural Products Co., Ltd., registered in Yiwu, Zhejiang province, mainly produces all kinds of flags for the Middle Eastern and European markets. The person in charge of the company, He Jinqi, said that World Cup-related products are mainly shipped from May to August. Currently, most of the shipments are finished, and the company is producing replenishment orders, which are expected to be sent at the end of this month.

Because of the World Cup tournament, the company's sales are 20%-30% higher than those in previous years. "Affected by the pandemic, the number of World Cup orders this year is slightly less than in previous years." He said.

The quadrennial World Cup has also improved the export of Yiwu Quansheng Sporting Goods Company this year, which mainly produces soccer balls for North and South Americas and the Middle East.
