Last week, with official closing up of the IFA 2018, the capital city of Germany has finally finished showcasing all around the world with the most exciting consumer electronic technology innovations of the year.
IFA NEXT, which was designed to be a global innovation hub for startups, research institutes as well as industry professions, had its 2nd exhibition for startups in the areas of smart home, mobility, robotics and many more.

Flyte: The gravity-defying inventions with innovative techniques and vintage design

The Swedish startup team Flyte has brought us series of inspiring home products based on magnetic levitation and wireless power, including a levitating light FLYTE, a zero-gravity growing system LYFE, a levitating timepiece STORY and a dimmable statement LED light bulb ARC.
Sgnl: fingertip communication enabled by body conduction unit
Sgnl is a watch strap that facilitates making and receiving phone calls by placing a fingertip to the ear, using a body conduction unit (BCU), which transmits vibrations from wrist to fingertip, instead of extra devices like headsets and earphones. Once smartphone receives or makes a phone call, the device will be activated automatically via bluetooth, and the audio algorithm will be also be put in use to reproduce the original sound quality.
Cosmo Moto: the life-saving removable but connected brake light
This bike light is not as simple as what we place at the back of the bike. By connected to a smart app, users will be able to adjust the light diffusion modes from break light, position light to warning light. And it can also detect driver’s falling over as well as an accindent, and the emergency alerts will be automatically sent out within 3 mins with transmissions of GPS coordinates. Additionally, the next product Cosmo Bike is also in development.
