BEIJING, December 19 (TMTPOST) – Hellas Group Chair Pavlos Kontomichalos said on Friday that he hoped Chinese business leaders and entrepreneurs would invest in the cultural and tourism sector in Greece.

He made the remarks in his speech delivered at the T-EDGE Conference jointly organized by TMTPost Group and the National New Media Industry Zone.  

Hellas Group also signed a partnership agreement with TMTPost Group, under which they will facilitate China-Greek trade, investment and business cooperation.

It has become a global trend that Chinese consumers are having an increasing impact on the global economy. With the deepening of the Belt and Road Initiative program, there are many opportunities for Greece’s cultural and tourism sector, he noted.

Greece and China have close ties in terms of cultures and civilization, he said. With its healthy and happy lifestyle that is in line with consumption trends in China, Greece has many products to offer to Chinese consumers.

Furthermore, Hellas Group has many successful investment cases and opportunities for profits.

“I welcome business leaders and entrepreneurs to visit Greece and experience Greece together in order to find good opportunities in business cooperation,” he said.

The T-EDGE Conference, which kicked off on December 18, will last for three days. The central theme of the conference is "Be Resolute" and sub-topics include digital economy, re-globalization and tech innovations.
