BEIJING, July 26 (TMTPOST) — Chinese Internet giant NetEase’s music streaming service NetEase Music is seeking to have its public listing hearing in Hong Kong this week, sources said. The music streaming service is aiming to raise HK$7.8 billion (US$1.2 billion) through the listing. NetEase Music’s co-sponsors are Merrill Lynch, China International Capital Corporation and Credit Suisse.
Netease Cloud Music is a freemium music streaming service developed and owned by NetEase, Inc. Launched in 2013, the streaming service already had 300 million users, and a music database consisting of more than over 10 million songs as of April 2017. The company filed for public listing in late May this year.
