BEIJING, July 23 (TMTPOST) — The recent floods in Zhengzhou will have a limited impact on chip supply and subsequently Hon Hai Precision’s business in the second half of 2021, said Young Liu, the company’s board chair, at a shareholder meeting. Hong Hai is the parent company of electronics contract manufacturer Foxconn.
“It appears that the floods in Zhengzhou will not have a huge impact on our business this year,” Liu said. “So we still feel positive about the second half of this year. The floods will have some impact on the supply of materials. But it would not be a huge problem.”
