BEIJING, July 20 (TMTPOST) — The box office has reached RMB¥47.695 billion (US$7.4 billion) one year after the reopening of cinemas on July 20th 2020, according to statistics from Dengta.
Movies screened on national holidays such as the National Day and Chinese Valentine’s Day in 2020 and the Spring Festival in 2021 had broken box office records. The box office of Hi, Mom and Detective Chinatown 3 screened at the Spring Festival ranked top two and two five respectively on China’s box office records, leading the revival of the movie market.
