BEIJING, May 5 (TMTPOST)— Tesla’s Chinese rival NIO announced it would start delivery of its flagship smart electric vehicle (EV) model ES8 in September in Norway and its first flagship smart EV sedan ET7 is set to enter this Northern European market next year. This marks NIO’s first step in markets outside homeland China.
Earlier this month, NIO disclosed its delivery in April rose 125.1% from a year ago to 7,102 units, suggesting keeping delivering more than 7,000 cars for a third month in 2021, in spite of being affected by the global chip shortage.
