BEIJING, January 22 (TMTPOST) — An employee of Chinese Internet and game giant NetEast tested positive for COVID-19 following a nucleic acid PCR Test on the night of January 21 in Beijing, said the company's internal announcement to all employees.
The antibody test the employee took on January 22 was negative. It remains unknown whether the employee of NetEast has contacted the virus.
NetEast has notified all of employees in its Beijing office to take COVID-19 tests and work from home.
COVID-19 has been resurging in China as small outbreak takes place in regions such as Hebei province, Heilongjiang province and Jilin province. Risks of another outbreak might increase as the Spring Festival approaches, during which Chinese people return to their hometown for family reunion.
