BEIJING, January 19 (TMTPOST) — Chinese video sharing platform Douyin, TikTok's sister app in China, has launched its own payment service.
Users on Douyin can bind their bank deposit cards to Douyin Payment, which now supports over ten banks in the country, including Agricultural Bank of China, Construction Bank of China, Bank of China and China Merchants Bank.
Identity verification is required for using Douyin's payment service, similar to Alipay and WeChat, which are two biggest mobile payment platforms in China. Users will need to enter their ID information and then bind deposit cards or credit cards to the platform before using the payment service.
