TMTPost Photo Gallery: 2017 in Review

A fond farewell to the past, a look ahead to the new year.

(Chinese Version)

It isn’t photography that solves any problem, but rather dissemination and attention. The only thing photography can solve is the anxiety inside me: not only identity anxiety and direction anxiety, but also the anxiety over right and wrong, the anxiety over loss and gain. I joined the media circle nine years ago, and became a photographer and documentary writer two years ago. As TMTPost grows maturer, I myself also became even more dedicated to the cause.

In 2017, I experienced both happiness and sorrows during my interview: I got worn out in the long-distance interview and I once went to great length to explain myself and communicate with my interviewees. I got not only tricked and trusted, but also moved and shocked. I can still remember the starry sky in Tengger, the ringing siren at highway service centers, the high torrents at Lancang River, the conveyor belt at contract factories, the heavy snowstorm at Tian Mountain, the clinking glasses and high toasts among the sons and daughters of the earth, etc.

Special thanks to all the people I’ve ever met in 2017, and all the trust and expectation they hold towards me. Following is a brief review of TMTPost Photo Gallery 2017 to commemorate the roads I’ve travelled and the friends I’ve made in the past year.
